About Me
I am an Oncology Nurse Practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center specializing in cancer survivorship. I have 20+ years of experience as an oncology nurse ->nurse practitioner. Prior to working at MSKCC I worked at Dana Farber Cancer Institute & Massachusetts General Hospital. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings spanning a wide scope of patient populations but always working within oncology. In my current role, I care for survivors of lymphoma and work with patients to create a care plan for monitoring disease recurrence, identify potential late side effects of treatment, advise on screening & preventative measures, provide vaccine counseling & discuss goals for healthcare maintenance. I have separately trained nurse practitioner students & taught as an adjunct professor at the graduate level. I have co authored a chapter on survivorship in the book “Pocket Oncology” that serves as guide to healthcare professionals. I currently volunteer on my town board of health as an alternative member.
I am passionate about advocating and empowering others in health education. You will hear me frequently tell patients “I can give advice on your health but this only works if it makes sense to you and YOUR life.” More than anything I appreciate patients that ask questions and speak up when something isn’t working for them. My goal is to help patients partner with their healthcare team in continuing to engage in dialogue.
Outside of work I am a wife & mom of 3 boys. I enjoy exercising, music & the beach.
